Minimum marks required in NEET for MBBS in Government college 2021. This is the major question that arises in student's mind while they are preparing to crack NEET UG. Because these marks will decide either they get admission in in a Government medical college or private medical college .
As far as NEET UG 2021 Exam Date is concerned ,it will be conducted in the 12 September ,2021 (Sunday) in offline mode through pen and paper and result will be declared by November 1,2021.

It is observed that most students want to take admission in government medical colleges to pursue their MBBS. As we all know how much private and deemed medical colleges are expensive.
But for getting admission into these government colleges you have to face tough competition.
So, today's article is all about these marks and what are minimum marks/rank require in NEET UG 2021 for students in different categories.
Minimum marks required in NEET for MBBS in Government medical colleges 2021 of India state wise
As we have mentioned above there are 87000 MBBS seats in 584 medical colleges in India. Admission in these medical colleges can be applied through NEET UG 2021.
Most of these colleges are in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh.
Types of NEET UG medical Counselling in India
There are two types of medical MBBS admission counselling in India -One is All India Level and another is state level. In All India Level counselling ,15% of seats of all government medical colleges, deemed universities ,Central Universities ,all ESICs are covered, while in state level counselling, remaining 85% seats of Government medical colleges ,private colleges and universities are covered.
As per the this year (2021)result of NEET UG ,General category aspirants need minimum 138 marks (50 percentile). On the other hand General-PH(122 Marks 45 percentile) and SC/OBC/ST requires 108 marks (40 percentile).
For those who don't know what is the percentile in NEET UG medical entrance Examination ?
Percentile used in NEET to determine students rankings. For example, 50 percentile means you must scores higher more than 50% of students appeared in NEET UG.
And for getting admission in Government medical colleges under an unreserved category or general, students have to get minimum 520 to 610 marks depending on states .

Minimum marks required in NEET for MBBS in private colleges
Till now (November 15,2021) there are total of 584 medical colleges out of which more than 46 colleges are related to deemed medical universities). And if we talked about number of MBBS seats till mid November ,2021 , there are 87,000 MBBS seats available in India for NEET UG 2021 aspirants.
For your kind information we wish to tell that there will be around 584 medical colleges at the time of counselling in 2021-22, which is going to be conducted in 3rd week of November ,2021.
For qualifying in NEET, students must have to score minimum of 50 percentile for UR and 40 percentile for SC/ST/OBC category.
And to get admission in the Good Private Medical college you must score at least 350 marks in NEET UG 2021.
Minimum marks required in NEET to get Government medical colleges MBBS for General category
General category students have to get more than 580 marks in NEET UG to get admission in Government medical colleges in most of the states except few under 85 % state quota.
From the result of NEET 2019 we can see, 62 was the ending cut-off for Maulana Azad medical college with 662 marks in AIQ and for state quota, it was 603 marks.
For Private medical colleges, General category students need 50 percentile which is equal to 138 marks for session 2021 and it was 147 in year 2020.

Minimum marks required in NEET to get Govt. College MBBS for SC
SC category student needs to score 40 percentile in NEET UG. So they can qualify to get admission in private or government medical colleges.
And if we talked about marks, students have to secure between 108 to 137 (2021).
Minimum marks required in NEET to get Govt. College MBBS for OBC
OBC category students also need 40 percentile score for NEET. And to get MBBS admission they need more than 108 to 137 minimum marks. This is based on this year(2021) cut-off .
